We’ve all been there. The candle burns down, and you’re left with a beautiful empty vessel that feels way too nice to toss—but what now?
The good news? You don’t have to throw it away.
The better news? Refilling it is easier (and cleaner) than you think.
At Siblings, we’re all about cozy living with a lighter impact. That’s why we created a candle refill system that helps you reuse what you already have, without any mess, tools, or complicated steps. Just melt, pour, and enjoy.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Why Refill a Candle?
Refilling your candle is more than a clever hack—it’s a small shift with a big impact.
- Less waste: No more tossing glass jars or tins after each burn.
- More savings: Refills cost less than new candles, so you save while staying cozy.
- Total customization: Use your favorite vessel. Try a new scent. Make it yours.
- Cleaner ingredients: When you refill with Siblings, you know exactly what you’re burning—no mystery wax 'blends' or cheap, chemical-filled synthetic fragrances here.
What You’ll Need
- An empty candle vessel (glass, ceramic, or metal all work)
- A Siblings Clean Candle Refill Kit
- A microwave (no microwave? it's easy to use the stovetop too)
How to Refill Your Candle in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: Clean Out Your Vessel
Remove any leftover wax, wick bases, or debris. A quick freezer trick can help—pop the candle in the freezer for an hour, then gently pry out the wax.
Step 2: Melt Your Siblings Candle Refill
Our wax comes in a 100% compostable bag you can melt right in the microwave. Just place the whole bag in a microwave-safe bowl, heat it for 2 minutes or until completely melted.
Step 3: Pour, Set, and Light
Pour the melted wax into your vessel, center the wick (we include one!), and let it cool and set for a few hours. That’s it. You’ve got a brand-new candle—minus the waste.
Is Refilling Messy?
Not with us.
Most DIY candle-making kits are messy, complicated, and require special equipment. Siblings takes all the guesswork (and clean-up) out of the equation.
No double boiler. No extra containers. Just your microwave and a moment of calm.
Can You Refill Any Candle Vessel?
Pretty much. As long as it’s:
- Heat-safe (ceramic, glass, or metal)
- Between 2.5–3.5 inches wide (for a single wick-candle)
- Not cracked or broken
