Meet Harald — our mischievous holiday tomte handcrafted by Åsas Tomtebod. In Scandinavian folklore, a tomte is a small, bearded guardian of the home — a quiet protector who brings good luck when treated kindly (and a bit of mischief when he’s not). Swedes have welcomed tomtar into their holiday traditions for centuries, placing them around the house to watch over the season.

Harald is made from natural materials sourced across the Nordic region: Swedish wood for his sturdy body, Icelandic sheepskin for his soft, unruly beard, and Norwegian wool for his signature red cap. Each cap is shaped by hand using tovning, a traditional felting technique that blends warm water, soap, and slow, practiced hands — a craft that takes years to master.
