Farm Tomatoes

Our Mom always kept a garden when we were growing up (she still does). We remember some years it being bountiful and other years…well, she tried. But the tomatoes thrived without fail. She often picked them while they were still green and let them ripen on the kitchen counter. This is that scent…the scent of green tomatoes just off the vine, of the harvest on the farm.
